I tried to login to OCS Web Access (OCS 2007 R2), but I received the following error :

Cannot sign in because the server is temporarily unavailable.

I logged on to the Web Access server and saw that all services where running. With IIS manager I also noticed that the webservice was running and had the correct certificate. • Quick Trials—with user actions required to set up a trial account reduced by 75 percent
• Worldwide user provisioning (an important addition for multi-national organizations)

While there is a Windows 2008 Core Configurator with a GUI interface, in Windows 2008 R2 Microsoft added a new command-line tool named SCONFIG.EXE.

With this command tool configuration of the Core Server is simplified. It allows you to do all the initial configuration tasks, text menu based. For example, you can :

• Configure Networking – static vs. DHCP and for multiple NICs
• Configure Remote – Enable management via Server Manager and PowerShell, including properly configuring the firewall
• Configure Windows Update
• Enable Remote Desktop
• Join a domain
• Rename a computer
