Outlook Social Media Connector – LinkedIn

The first official Social Media Connector for Microsoft Outlook 2010 (currently still beta) is present. It’s the connector for LinkedIn.

Other Outlook Social Media Connectors are :

When receiving an e-mail from a person or looking at a contact, you immediately see the Social Media Bar in Outlook. Here it states all the communication you had with that person, conversation history, activities, meetings etc.

Now with the LinkedIn add-on, you can invite someone directly to your LinkedIn profile and you get more information about these contacts.

For the Outlook 2010 beta users – Installation requires you to first uninstall the Outlook Social Connector and click on Not Available. Then download the Social Media Connector (here).

Also download and install the Linked connector.

Note – The connector is currently only available for Outlook 2010 32-bit systems! It also doesn’t include the Sharepoint 2010 connection.
