Microsoft released a new version of the Microsoft Online Services Sign-in tool. This sign-in tool is used to connect to Microsoft BPOS (Business Productivity Online Suite).

Microsoft Business Productivity Online Standard Suite is a set of messaging and collaboration solutions hosted by Microsoft, and consists of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Office Live Meeting, and Office Communications Online.

Outlook Social Media Connector – MySpace

The next Social Media Connector for Microsoft Outlook 2010 (currently still beta) is present. It’s the connector for MySpace.

Other Outlook Social Media Connectors are :

When receiving an e-mail from a person or looking at a contact, you immediately see the Social Media Bar in Outlook. Here it states all the communication you had with that person, conversation history, activities, meetings etc.

Now with the MySpace add-on, you can invite someone directly to your MySpace profile and you get more information about these contacts.

For the Outlook 2010 beta users – Installation requires you to first uninstall the Outlook Social Connector and click on Not Available. Then download the Social Media Connector (here).

Also download and install the MySpace connector.

Note – The connector is currently only available for Outlook 2010 32-bit systems! It also doesn’t include the Sharepoint 2010 connection.

Microsoft Office Online?

You’ve heard it! Microsoft will be bringing lightweight Web browser versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote that “provide access to documents from virtually anywhere and preserve the look and feel of a document regardless of device”.

Microsoft Online Services – July Update

The features of the Microsoft Online Services will be updated in July. They include the following features:

  • Migration support for hosted Exchange mailboxes
  • An increase for SharePoint Online file uploads from 50MB to 250MB
  • An increase in Live Meeting attendees from 15 to 250 attendees
  • Microsoft Online Services trials for India
  • Quick Trials—with user actions required to set up a trial account reduced by 75 percent
  • Worldwide user provisioning (an important addition for multi-national organizations)
