  Hello, I have been waiting for a good IMDB plugin. I tried this but I couldn’t get it to work. I got this error repeated over and ovet. Any ideas?:

  I’ve tried the IMDB ID and it looks ok. So it looks like an issue with reading the stream. It sounds like the file hasn’t been written. But I’m not an expert on these sorta configuration issues. Maybey if someone else reads the error they can say what’s the problem.

  But after some searching I came across this : allow_url_fopen in the php.ini

  You could check to see if this has been set to true. If it is not the case, set it to true and see if the script runs.

  Yes, that fixed it. Thank you very much for your help. I suggest adding that information into the readme file. The tag is great. One more question, I haven’t looked at it too closely yet but can I change the information around so I only show part of what’s available? And can I move information around so I have it populating different areas of the post?

  You need to change the directory on the Operating System (OS). Nothing in SQL. But it all depends on your OS. Do you have administrator access to the OS and what type of OS are you using?

  I did a test with Windows Live writer, the same version you used (latest version as it seems at this moment). I created a new post, edited the post and had no errors. It looks like live writer just gets the code from Wordpress and doesn’t retrieve the post it appears on the webpage. So an error sounds to me like a local issue. Please correct me if I’m wrong with this conclusion.

  I’ve totally missed that the id is without the “tt” prefix and lost myself an hour to look for the mistake

  The plugin is great!

  some suggestions I want to make:

  - control options in the admin panel for the CSS of the appearance of the content
  - control over the order of the info ( e.g. – now the “pictures” comes before the “poster”, which I think is a shame )
  - option to choose if one needs the explanation text to appear or not. 2 separate css could be developed – one for all the notices and one “clean” – only for the content itself.
  - option to choose the appearance of the “zoomed” pictures. One may need black borders and more discrete icons ( close, move, etc.)

  I guess, some of the things could be changed in a few minutes of editing the php-s, but after all you asked for suggestions

  Once again – great plugin.

  I have installed the plugin and chmod 777 for the cache directory. I have activated the plugin and I see it if I go to settings. But where am I supposed to enter the tags for it to work? I don’t see IMDB_Tag in my write post section and when I add a movie id in the regular tag section I get nothing. Help?

  If you write a post, fill in [imdb]0110912[/imdb] (so the ID of the IMDB movie without the ‘tt’ in front) and the movie will be displayed.

  Thank you for your quick response. I have imdb tag as part of my post in the center column, but it spills over into the widgets located in the 3rd/right hand column. What I was hoping was to was maybe to shrink the content column of your plugin by an inch or so.   I posted the new Bond trailer and the entry was very popular. Guess it must have something to do with the image grab from imdb. I deactivated it hoping it will solve the problem. I don’t want to deactivate your plugin for good since it does a good job besides that.

  Looks like the guys at imdb.com changed their code…There’s no more Plot information shown when using this script. You’ll have to change the code where it searches the Plot outline to [code]preg_match ( "'Plot:(.*?)'" , $imdb_raw , $pilot );[code]

  found an error in the IMDB_Tag.php. Since using casesensitive paths the line 73 should actually have case sensitive pathname as well. Correct line:

  include ABSPATH . ‘wp-content/plugins/IMDB_Tag/lang/’ . $imdbtag_lang_file . ‘.php’;

  I ran into a chmod problem. All files are saved with chmod 660, although the cachefolder is cmhod 777. With this permission the public (www) viewer has no right so view the pictures.

  Does anyone know what script-line to change to save the files (jpg and ini) with chmod 664 instead of 660?

  But I actually need the script to get the normal sized (readable) poster, wich you get when you click on imdb’s small movie poster… for example:

  I am seeing only the headings in my results, no movie images or information at all.

  Not sure if it is php.ini or cUrl – dont understand any of this but these are some terms I picked up in the last 3 hours googling this stuff.

  I think it is to do with Php: allow_url_fopen
